What Is Mental Health?
What is mental health? That's a great question to ask. Mental health affects the way we think, our emotions, and our ability to do things. Mental health is very important to recognize. It's something that should be addressed as soon as possible. Being someone who personally has mental health problems, I will say it is difficult to do some things.
But this isn't about me at all. This is from my personal experience and hoping that my advice and experience can help those who struggle.
Some people have such bad anxiety and they overthink. Some people think that people won't like them or want to be their friend or be in a relationship with them. But overall, that's not the case at all. A lot of people don't understand mental health like those who have it. When you have mental health, you learn a lot of what your illness is about. Not everyone is going to know all the information about our illness. There's nothing wrong with us teaching someone who is really interested in learning about it.
When we think about our mental health, we sometimes feel alone or bullied because of our situation. Reality is that you are never ever alone. It may seem like that (I personally feel like that all the time), but these feelings aren't always the case. These feelings aren't wrong but they also aren't right. What do I mean by this? Well, what I mean by this is that when we have people wanting to know more about mental health, it doesn't mean there is bad intentions behind it.
You need to realize that people do care a heck of a lot, but there are also people who aren't really interested. That's not your fault. It just means those people are not meant to be in your life. But those who do try to understand, they are meant to be a part of your life.
Overall, thinking that your mental health is something to be embarrassed about, well do not be. So many people struggle in many ways. But your mental health helped shape you to be the person you are meant to be today.
Write some ways to express how you feel in the moment. Never think you're alone because you aren't. The huge thing about mental health is also taking time for yourself. Find ways to help you on your tough days. Like I said before, writing down how you're feeling is a great way to start your journey.
